Willie Ray Parish and Becky Hendrick
September 6 – October 6, 2019

“Longhorn,” Metal Sculpture, Willie Ray Parish

“Cada Manana,” Photography, Becky Hendricks

The Tubac Center of the Arts (TCA)  invites sculptor Willie Ray Parish and photographer Becky Hendrick to present a show that combines the three-dimensional and two-dimensional.  Ray’s work is visceral, creates space even as it expands in it, and sets an intriguing combination of textures and materials. Becky used to paint and now she primarily is a photographer. Her creative discussion, Amateurism: I used to make pictures, now I paint them, will be part of the exhibition and also a special Art Speaks on September 18th at 5:00 PM.

The Middle Gallery will host married artists, Willie Ray Parish and Becky Hendrick. Willie Ray is a sculptor and Professor Emeritus, University of Texas at El Paso, and founder of The Border Art Residency. Becky Hendrick, an artist with over forty years of art making and teaching will exhibit her photographs on aluminum.
