Our Mission

Tubac Center of the Arts represents Tubac's artistic heritage and identity. We pursure excellence in serving as a venue for artistic expression, appreciation, and learning for those who create and enjoy art in Southern Arizona.

Master Artists featured include Francis Beaugureau, Hugh Cabot, Hart Haller (Hal) Empie, Tom Hill, Dale Nichols, Ross Stefan, Mortimer Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Bobb Vann, Trudi Fletcher, Barbra Gurwitz, Virginia Hall, Barbara Hill, and Walter Wilson. These are artists that lived and worked in Tubac and helped to make Tubac known as an art colony where “Art and History Meet”.

For over fifteen years, Tubac Center of the Arts has presented a regional artists Open Studio Tour. Artists from Green Valley, Quail Creek, Tubac and Rio Rico open their studios and share their latest creations with tour visitors. This annual event is free to the public and opens with a preview exhibition and reception at Tubac Center of the Arts.
