Tubac Center of the Arts is pleased to present the 49th Year year of our Member’s Juried Exhibit. This is an exclusive juried exhibit for artist members of Tubac Center of the Arts.

The abstract artist Jimena Coronado, was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and she creates exquisite art work full of vibrant colors that transmits positives feelings, beauty and joy. 

Come and join us on Saturday, December 8th at 5:00 p.m. for the opening reception.

Pictographs Exhibit


Native American artists living in the canyon country of the Colorado Plateau developed the BARRIER CANYON STYLE pictographs .  Belonging to the ARCHAIC CULTURE of hunter-gatherers…their work is widely regarded as the most powerful of several styles developed in the region and is thought to be at least 2 to 4 thousand years old.

Tubac’s annual celebration of the Holiday Season! The streets are lined with luminaries and the stores are open until 9 PM. Join us at sunset for great homemade food, music and Santa Claus!

Art Speaks - Wain Evans


Barrier Canyon Style rock art emerged about 4000 years ago in the red canyon country of the Colorado Plateau. Today it is widely regarded as the first and most powerful of the several ancient styles developed in the region. My presentation is an archaeological overview of the culture that evolved the Barrier Canyon Style of rock painting and the various views of who the artists were and what their paintings are about.

The Consulate General of Mexico, the Tubac Center of the Arts and the Cultural Arts Committee of Nogales, Arizona are honored to present the pictorial exhibition “Azul Mexicano” by Jimena Coronado.

The abstract artist Jimena Coronado, was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and she creates exquisite art work full of vibrant colors that transmits positives feelings, beauty and joy.

Coronado has exhibited her artwork in more than 15 pictorial exhibitions, including Spain and Mexico. Also one of her pieces "Deseo" (Desire) was selected as a cover book for the romantic poetry book called "IMAGINARTE" from Spanish author José Luis Moronta, May 18th, 2018, Madrid, Spain.

The Tubac Center of the Arts Gallery Shop features the art of many local and regional artists.  You'll  find hand-crafted jewelry, pottery, hand-woven garments, wall hangings, hand-painted clothing, in all, one-of-a-kind items not found elsewhere.  Our extensive childrens' book and puzzle assortment is very popular, as is our "Nature Corner" where outdoor enthusiasts can find bird and hiking guides, as well as unique wildlife art.  We also feature the Village's most impressive collection of hardcover art and history books to grace every coffee table.

The Tubac Center of the Arts, is located at the main intersection in the village, and offers a full range of arts programming and seasonal exhibits that are not to be missed.

Tubac Center of the Arts offers changing nationally juried art exhibitions, opportunities for artists to exhibit their work, art workshops, lectures, a performing arts series, special events, and a children’s summer arts program.
