The Art of Gel Printing introduces students to the monotype printing process using a gel plate. Each student will receive a gel plate and brayer to continue the exploration of this medium.

We will work each day on multiple studies to gain a better understanding of what goes into a successful landscape painting, step by step, with instructor demos and hands on student work with lots of individual attention. Oil or acrylic.

Discover image transfers in this advanced gel printing class! Students start with a laser printed photo, transfer it onto a gel plate, then use reverse painting to add depth, color, and expression. We finish with a unique artwork that fuses photographic detail with the spontaneity of gel printing.

Learn design techniques using mini collage starts that can be developed into a multimedia artwork using watercolor and collage. In this class Kat will guide you through the process of creativity to create a finished work of 10" x 10" or 9" x 12" or enliven a watercolor that needs rescue.

Working with water-based inks & a basic printing station, you will learn to obtain strong impressions. The workshop will include a technique in printmaking in which thin papers are used in the printing process. This technique allows you to print on a more delicate surface and obtain finer details.

Good drawing skills are essential in art. The goal of this series is to cover most concepts and techniques in drawing, to help you improve your drawing skills and become a better artist, regardless of your skill level.
