Take your portraiture skills to the next level! This two-day workshop offers artists an immersive experience in portrait drawing with charcoal. Participants will learn the foundations of anatomy and structure, as well as the keys to capturing expression and personality in any subject. Hours: 10 AM – 4 PM

Ben P Norton is an artist currently based out of Rimrock, AZ. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Ben received his BFA from the University of Dayton with a concentration in Painting and a minor in Religious Studies, and he received his MFA in 2-D Art from the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. Over the course of Ben’s career, he has managed and curated commercial galleries, worked on preparation teams for large non-profit galleries, and exhibited and installed artwork for a variety of art fairs and exhibitions (everything from white cube display at the Architectural Digest Home Show in NYC to massive sculptures at the Avon Heritage Duck Tape Festival). Ben’s work can be found in numerous public and private collections in Arizona and the Midwest. Ben is currently an Associate Professor at Yavapai College, where he teaches courses in Drawing, Painting, and Design in Prescott and the Sedona area.
