Our Gallery Gift Shop furthers our mission by showcasing the works of member artists, presenting an assortment of gallery-quality art, distinctive gifts, elegant jewelry and a variety of both fiction and nonfiction books.
Shopping at the TCA Gift Shop directly supports both artists and our organization so that we can continue to bring valuable programs to our community and visitors.
"After enjoying many varied careers ranging from healthcare administration and nursing to antiques dealing and interior design, I followed my natural creativity to write a novel, Seeking the White Root, An Australian Story, and gradually to the realization that I am an artist. Starting to paint was a new artistic endeavor for me and is quite challenging. My passion for collecting art and antiques and decorating houses has honed my ability to see vignettes or scenes that "need to be painted". These exciting vignettes seem to appear before me as l am hiking and camping in the desert, mountains and forests around the country. My paintings are born from a deep love of the natural world and are heavily influenced by Impressionism and American Regional Mid Century Art. The landscapes of the West inspire me, offering a sense of the beauty and tranquility that I strive to convey in my art. Many of my oil paintings are created plein air, capturing the ever-changing light and atmosphere ofoutdoor settings. Back in my studio, I translate these experiences into stylized acrylic and/or oil paintings with more depth of color and light. My hope is that my paintings speaks to the heart of the viewer creating joy." - Cinda Pettigrew
