This course is the perfect place to start your journey of learning to play the Native American style flute (NAF). No musical experience is necessary! This course will guide you through the basics of playing your flute right away. Hours: 3 – 4 PM

Ami Sarasvati is a Native American style flute teacher, a Certified Music Practitioner, and the author of several prominent books and courses on the flute.
She has facilitated community music-making events and has played bedside for the ill and dying in the hospital setting. She has witnessed, again and again, the healing power of music for both the individual and the community. Ami is passionate about facilitating personal transformation through labyrinth walks (Ami is a trained facilitator), playing in ceremony, and guided journaling. Ami is also an accredited T’ai Chi Chih Instructor.
Ami grew up in Manchester, NH, went to high school at St. Paul’s School in Concord NH, and got her BS in Journalism at Boston University in Boston MA in 1987. She moved to Arizona in 2018 where she lives with her husband, Keith Senecal. Her life’s purpose is to teach people to play the music they love as a rewarding personal hobby, offering a tool for self-expression and personal wellness.
