With demos and plenty of time to paint, you will be able to speak to your successes and challenges and how you will incorporate what you’ve come to understand. We will begin our time together by setting the stage for your individual “Intentional Focused Learning”. You will be guided through a process that will help you focus from your strengths and build upon those as you lessen the gap between where you are and the art you envision creating. You have a foundation to build upon that is unique to you. You will learn how to get the most out of our time together and receive the “aha” moments that elevate your art without the post workshop crash. You will witness how I use Sight Size and Grisaille during the demo that follows to carry the viewer to a strong focal point supported by a harmonious design. Pallet, brushes/tools, gear... everything will be shared.
In the afternoon you will paint and practice the principles of Sight Size and Grisaille. You will be guided and receive a lot of one on one time as the workshop size is limited for this purpose.
The second day will consist of a morning demo where you will see how to incorporate color successfully into your beautiful Grisaille without losing your way. You will paint in the afternoon and I will continue to guide and offer individual instruction. You can try the tools I have and I'll even give you some.
The third morning you will paint. I will offer demos around specific questions and help you solidify what you are needing to grow your creative process to greater success. We will conclude our time together with a wrap up discussion and share of the work created together. You will be able to speak to your successes and challenges and how you will incorporate what you’ve come to understand. It’s a beautiful circle complete to revisit the Intention you set for your learning.
