Voices & Votes Exhibit

This statewide traveling exhibit, Voices and Votes: Democracy in America will serve as a community meeting place to convene conversations about what it means to be a citizen and examine the context and main controversies behind America’s democratic system.  Learn about democracy in America as well as a local Tubac Voting Story. This family-friendly exhibit is supplemented with docent-led learning activities for children as well as adults. For the Love of It Marion Valentine

Tubac artist, Marion Valentine was one of the early Tubac artists, along with her husband Hans, their home was also their studio, open to the public. Marion was well known for her unique batik paintings. In this retrospective, we celebrate her love of art and community for her birthday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day!

Impressions: The Art of the Print

This juried exhibit will present the many different types of printmaking methods, including monotype, etchings, drypoint, lithography, woodcut, linocut, collagraph, and screen-print. Additionally, educational material describing the different types of printmaking will help visitors understand the methods and techniques. The exhibit highlights original printmaking methods and addresses the difference between the art form of printmaking versus the reproduction of art called a “print.” Juror: David Andres
