Tubac Center of the Arts was established in 1963 by a group of local artists and community leaders as the Santa Cruz Valley Art Association, a nonprofit, tax exempt organization. The current building was dedicated, mortgage free, in 1972, with three galleries of exhibition space and a Gallery Shop. The Board of Directors works with the staff and a large group of dedicated volunteers to provide programming to serve the growing needs of both the artists and the community.
