Art Speaks Series

 TCA hosts a monthly Art Speaks series with presentations by experts in a variety of art topics, often led by Tucson Museum of Art docents.

2023/2024 Art Speaks Schedule

Art Speaks presentations are scheduled on the second Thursday of the month, October through March at 5-6:15pm.

 

 

The 2023-2024 Season will be presented live in the gallery each month.

Preregistration is required. Call TCA at 520-398-2371.

Hohokam Art

The Hohokam are known for two things — their farming skills and their skills with arts and crafts. This talk explores their beautiful artwork in pottery, jewelry, stoneware, and shell artwork.

Motherhood: The Greatest Gift

The gift of motherhood is something that we can all relate to at a very personal level. In this talk, we take a look at the ways that motherhood has been depicted in art throughout history and across many different cultures, from the Ancient Americas to the present day.
